The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball team hits the road to take on Arkansas St. Monday at the First National Bank Arena.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The UAPB Sports Network radio broadcast begins at Lions Roar All Access at 6:45 p.m. on 99.3 FM, online at uapblionsroar.com, and on the free UAPB Athletics App.
"This game is another great opportunity for our girls to play against an in-state game against a quality opponent," said UAPB assistant coach Nicole Mealing. "We've had some good practices and we feel really good about this upcoming game as we get ready for conference play."
UAPB and Arkansas St. will meet on the hardwood for the first time since 2010, when the Red Wolves defeated the Lady Lions 59-47.
UAPB is playing one of the toughest non-conference schedule in the conference. The Lady Lions (0-6) dropped an 85-56 defeat to Washington St. Wednesday night. The Red Wolves (2-5) are coming off a 71-62 win over San Diego St. on the road Nov. 30.
In the matchup against the Lady Cougars, seniors Kyeonia Harris and Aiya El Hassan led UAPB with 15 and 11 points, respectively, followed by sophomore Jayla Atmore with nine points.
