PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football team lost its final road game at Prairie View A&M 37-20.
Trailing 23-0 in the third quarter, the Golden Lions got on the scoreboard.
Shannon Patrick's one-yard scoring run capped a six-play, 39-yard drive that cut the deficit to 23-7 with 6:42 to play the period.
After Prairie View A&M scored in the first minute of the fourth quarter, UAPB added back-to-back scores later in the period.
DeJuan Miller's 30-yard scoring pass from Patrick made the score 30-14 with 6:44 remaining.
On the next Golden Lion possession, Harry Ballard's 77-yard touchdown pass from Patrick cut the deficit to 10 at 30-20, as the two-point conversion failed.
However, Prairie View A&M scored on the ensuing possession for the final margin.
Patrick completed 15 of 23 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a third touchdown. Ballard caught three passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, and Miller caught seven passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.
UAPB will play its final game of the season Saturday, Nov. 23 in a 3 p.m. game against Texas Southern at Simmons Bank Field on Church, Community, and Football Senior Day.
