Box Score FORT WORTH, Texas - Arkansas-Pine Bluff traveled to Texas to face the 20th ranked team in the country, falling 7-1 to Texas Christian University at Lupton Stadium. 

TCU jumped out on top early with four quick runs in the second inning then added two more in the fifth inning before UAPB stuck back with a run of its own in the seventh inning as Sergio Esparza produced an RBI that brought in Jar Parker, but that was the only run the Golden Lions produced on the night.

UAPB pitcher Tyrus Lopez (1-2) struck out seven TCU batters, gave up a total of six hits  and four earned runs in five innings of work for the Golden Lions while teammate Nathan Sawrie came in for relief and gave up three hits and one run in three innings, including two strike outs. Lopez picked up his second loss of the season while fellow Golden Lion Parker finished with a game-high three hits as he went 3-for-4 from the plate.

As a team the Golden Lions produced more hits (11) than its opponent (9).

UAPB (6-10) returns to action on Friday as it travels to Houston to face Texas Southern University in a three-game series. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at Macgregor Park.
