Golden Lions Drop Road Game At North Texas

Denton, TX.- Senior Martaveous McKnight posted a team-high 24 points, along with a team-high seven rebounds and junior Shaun Doss posted 22 points, but an early first-half run by the University of North Texas was the difference as the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team fell, 77-66, on Thursday night.
 
 Fast Break Points 
  • McKnight was 8-for-15 from the field and 5-for-5 from behind the arch, scoring in double figures in four straight games.
  • Doss was 8-for-13 from the floor and was 5-for-7 from the charity stripes.
  • UNT started the game on an 18-2 run and led at the break 32-23 at the break.
  • The Golden Lions went on a 8-1 run in the final two minutes, but it was not enough as UNT held on for the win.
  • Michael Miller led the way for the Mean Green with 35 points, followed by Umoja Gibson with 13 points.

The Golden Lions will now head to Springfield, Mo. for another road
test against Missouri St. Saturday Dec. 22, at 1:00 p.m. CT
