Briana Burke picked up a second place finish in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.79 meters to go along with a fourth place finish in the women's 60 yard dash as she posted a time of 7.92. Fellow Lady Lion
Jennifer Watt came in a fraction of a second later as she finished fifth with a time of 7.93. Watt later finished fourth overall in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 26.16.
In the women's 400 meter dash, freshman
Arjai Johnson produced a third place finish with a time of 1:06.35 while teammate
Christian Coleman finished in fourth place, producing a time of 1:19.93.
With a time of 1:30.07, freshman
Tiler Tyler finished fourth in the women's 600 yard run while teammate
Camiya Knight picked up a fifth place finish with a time of 1:32.73.
Keziann Jones beat out four other Lady Lion teammates in the women's shot put and finished fourth overall with a mark of 12.82.
The Lady Lions track and field team returns to action on Friday, January 19 as it travels to Birmingham, Alabama, to partake in the Samford Invitational on the campus of Samford University.
