Pine Bluff, AR. – Head Coach Monte Coleman has hired Robert Bailey as the new Wide Receiver Coach for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.  Bailey, replaced Mark Frederick, who left UAPB after one season to become the Assistant Coach/Wide Receiver Coach at his alma mater.

In his first season as the wide receivers coach, Robert Bailey, Jr. brings a sense of uniqueness to the program.  As a member of the 2011 (SWAC) championship team, he played a major role on special teams, with five force fumbles leading the Grambling Tigers in 2011.  Continuing his colligate career as a "G-Man", Bailey started as a wide receiver and was third leading receiver during both seasons (2012-2013).

He brings several years of coaching experience to the Golden Lions, along with heavily recruiting ties in the state of Louisiana.

Bailey has developed numerous connections over the course of his coaching and playing career.  The key to developing authentic relationships between the high school and college coaches, according to Bailey, starts with how well those players are taken care of and become a better person on and off the field.

Following his grandmother and mother footsteps Bailey received his bachelor's degree in business management and his masters in sports administration from Grambling State University.

Bailey is a father of three children; Robert L. Bailey, III, Karsyn Bailey, and Jordyn Bailey. He often refers to them as "The Bailey Bunch".

Bailey brings coaching experience: 2016-Tight-Ends, 2015-Tight-Ends Graduate Asst., 2014 Assistant wide receiver/graduate
assistant.
