AUSTIN, Texas – Junior Briana Burke of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's track and field will compete in the 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas, Thursday through Saturday.
The University of Texas at Austin will serve as host of the three-day competition, which takes place at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earned berths into the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks, and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West Preliminary Rounds sites, will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 7-10.
Burke a Dallas, Texas native sits No. 32 on the West Preliminary list on the long jump with a leap of 6.14 meters (20'.1.34"), looking to compete hard and represent her university on a high note.
