Box Score PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (March 24)- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team scored four runs in their half of the seventh inning to hold on for a 13-10 win over Prairie View A&M, here Friday afternoon at Tankersley Field.
 
UAPB punched out 14 hits, whereas PVAMU tallied 12.
 
Bradley Lopez recorded a team high three hits to lead UAPB, while both Cody Den Beste and Kevin Macias finished with three hits apiece to lead PVAMU.
 
Nathan Sawrie (2-2) received the win for the Golden Lions.  He gave up seven hits, six earned runs and struck out three in his five innings of work.  
C.J. Lewington (1) got the save.  He gave up six hits, two earned runs and struck out four in three innings of relief.
 
Charles Philpott (2-2) received the loss for the Panthers.  He pitched three and one-third inning allowing seven hits, five earned runs and struck out three in the 22 batters he faced.
 
UAPB took an early 4-1 lead in the contest with the Golden Lions plating two runs in the top of the first inning and two in the top of the second inning.   An 
Aderly Perez double in the top of the first scored both 
Juan Pablo Soriano and 
Jaquese Moore.  Then a Moore double in the top of the second inning would score both 
Jordan Knox and 
Jaylen Jackson.
 
PVAMU plated their run in the bottom of the first inning on a Nathan Carter sacrifice fly to centerfield scoring Corbin Jamison.
 
UAPB increased their lead to 7-1 in the top of the fourth inning with Lopez scoring on a Panther fielding error, followed by a wild pitch scoring Knox.  Moore would then score on a 
Dontrell Brown single to cap the three-run inning for the Golden Lions.
 
PVAMU cut UAPB's lead to 7-4 with the Panthers scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
 
UAPB made the score 9-4 with 
Joshua Williams scoring on a passed ball and Brown scoring on a 
Jerimiah Figueroa scoring on single in the bottom of the sixth inning.
 
The Panthers pulled within one with PVAMU pushing across four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning cutting UAPB's lead to 9-8.
 
UAPB plated four runs in the top of the seventh inning to increase their lead to 13-8 with a Figueroa grand slam.
 
PVAMU would plate two more runs in the in the contest with Panthers pushing across one run in the bottom of the eighth and ninth inning for the 13-10 final.
