Box Score HOUSTON, Texas (March 17) - Texas Southern scored five runs in their half of the fifth inning to lift them to a 7-4 win over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team, here Friday afternoon at MacGregor Park.
 
UAPB finished the contest with eight hits, while TSU tallied nine.
 
The Golden Lions was led by Juan Pablo Soriano with two hits in four at-bats, scoring one runs and driving in two. 
 
TSU was led by Jose Camacho with three hits in four at-bats, scoring one runs and driving in three.
 
Seth Oliver (3-1) received the win for TSU.  He went the distance as he gave up eight hits, three earned runs and struck out 13 in nine innings of work.
 
Thomas Sanchez (0-3) received the loss for UAPB.  He pitched four innings, allowing seven hits, six earned runs and striking out two in the 16 he faced.
 
UAPB went up 2-0 in their half of the first inning with both Jaquese Moore and Jerimiah Figueroa scoring on a TSU error.
 
TSU cut UAPB's lead to 2-1 with the Tigers plating a run in the bottom of the fourth.
 
UAPB added to their lead in to top of the fifth inning on a Soriano two-run homer to left field, giving the Golden Lions, 4-1 lead over TSU.
 
TSU took a 6-4 lead with the Tigers plating five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
 
The Tigers scored one more run in their half of the sixth inning for the 7-4 final.
