Box Score TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (March 10) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team dropped a 14-1 decision to the University of Alabama, here Friday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
 
UAPB finished the contest with seven hits, whereas UA recorded 13.
 
The Golden Lions was led by Jordan Knox, who finished the contest three-for-five from the plate and scoring one run. 
 
UA had two players to finish with three hits each in Chandler Avant and Cobie Vance.
 
Jake Walters (3-1) received the win for the Tide.  He pitched six innings, allowing five hits, one earned runs and striking out five in the 23 batters he faced.
 
C.J. Lewington (0-2) received the loss for the Golden Lions.  He gave up 10 hits, nine earned runs and striking out two in four innings of work.
 
UA took a 7-0 lead into the third inning with the Tide plating five runs in their half of the first and two runs in their half of the second.
 
UAPB scored their only run of the contest on a Sergio Esparza triple to center field scoring Jordan Knox, cutting the Tides' lead to 7-1.
 
UA would then plate four runs in the bottom of the fifth and three in the bottom of the eighth inning for the 14-1 final.
