Box Score (Prairie View, Texas) The Lady Lions took care of business on the road with an exciting four-set Southwestern Athletic Conference victory over Prairie View A&M (26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22) in Texas. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff volleyball team was led by Lisa Casimie who finished with 13 kills and was selected as this week's SWAC Newcomer of the Week for her numbers in recent games (35 kills, 17 digs, five blocks, four aces) while teammate setter Britney Sahlmann finished the game with a game-high 41 assists (9.7 assists per set) to go along with seven digs and six kills. Sahlmann was selected as this week's SWAC Setter of the Week for her numbers in recent games (97 total assists).

"This was more like it," said Lady Lions head coach Dustin Sahlmann. "I would like to minimize our errors moving forward but we got it done. I was happy with our energy against Prairie View."

As a team the Lady Lions (5-16, 4-4 SWAC) hit just .178 as a team but produced 47 assists on 56 kills. UAPB had four service aces but produced 12 service errors.

UAPB returns to action on Friday, October 20 as it faces Mississippi Valley State University in SWAC action in Montgomery, Ala. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
