Box Score LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 2) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-14,25-14, 25-13) decision to the University of Little Rock, here Friday night at Jack Stephens Center.
UAPB (0-4) had a pair of Lady Lions to finish with seven kills apiece in
Kendalle Howard and
Natalie Gibbs.
Britney Sahlmann led the team in assists with 17, whereas
Jade Sanlin led the team in digs with nine.
LR (1-4) was paced by Edina Selimovic with 10 kills. Taylor Lindberg led the team in assists with 30, while Hope Larmour led the team in digs with seven.
LR jumped out to 5-1 lead in the first set on a UAPB service error.
The Trojans increased their lead to 10-6 on a UAPB attack error. LR extended their lead to 17-9 Sydnee Martin service ace as the Trojans went on to win the set 25-14 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
UAPB and LR was nip and tuck for the first six points of the second set, where UAPB knotted the score six times.
LR then took a 12-7 lead on a 6-1 run capped off by a kill by Selimovic. The Trojans held on for the 25-14 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Trojans won the third set 25-13 for the 3-0 win the match.
