Brandon Duncan was named the FCS Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Alcorn State, this past Thursday night at Jack Spinks/Marino Casem Stadium in Alcorn State, Miss.
In the contest, Duncan completed 29 passes in 52 attempts for 505 yards and four TDs in the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football's team, 45-43 triple overtime win over defending Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion Alcorn State.
UAPB trailed 30-14 with less than six minutes remaining in the quarter. The Golden Lions would send the contest into overtime as they scored on a 44-yard TD pass to John Hawkins from Duncan at the 5:55 mark. Then again with less than a minute to go on an 11-yard
Dante McDonald TD run with 58 seconds left in the contest.
In the third overtime, UAPB trailed ALCN, 43-37. The Golden Lions tied the contest at 43-43 on a
Willie Young 25-yard TD pass from Duncan. On two the two-point conversion, Duncan would connect with John Hawkins to give the Golden Lions, the 45-43 win.
