Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas (Aug. 26) - In their match of the Maverick Classic, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-4) decision to Sacramento State, here Friday afternoon at College Park Center.
 
UAPB (0-1) was paced by Kendalle Howard with five kills and Lauren Corby with four.  Britney Sahlmann dished out 13 assists and recorded two service aces for the Lady Lions, while Courtney Brand led the team in digs with nine.
 
CSUS (1-0) was led by Madeline Cannon with a match high 12 kills and Morgan Stanley finished with eight.  Kennedy Kurtz tallied 29 assists, while Lexie Skalbeck led the team in digs with 19.
 
In the first set, UAPB grabbed a 2-1 lead on a Corby kill.  The Hornets then tied the set at 4-4 on a kill by Stanley.
 
 CSUS then went on a 21-7 run to win the first set 25-11 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
CSUS won the second set, 25-13 and the third set 25-4 for the 3-0 win over the Lady Lions.
