Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (May 12) - In their final contest of the season, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team defeated Alcorn State, 15-6 here Friday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
UAPB finished the contest with 19 hits, whereas ASU tallied six.
The Golden Lions had three players to finish with three hits apiece in
Jaqueese Moore,
Michael Bradley and
Roberto Colon.
Rios Wallace led the Braves from the plate as he recorded three hits in five at-bats, scoring two runs and driving in one.
Humberto Medina (5-5) got the win for the Golden Lions. He pitched three innings, allowing three hits, three earned runs and striking out one in the 14 batters he faced.
Reggie Johnson (3-7) received the loss for ASU. In one and one-third innings of work, Johnson gave up three hits, five earned runs and struck out one in the 10 batters he faced.
ASU plated one run in the first, two in the second and three runs in the fifth.
UAPB plated one run in the first, four in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth, two in the sixth and two in the seventh inning for the 15-6 finale.
