Box Score PRAIRIE VIEW A&M (April 23) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team extended their win streak to eight with an 11-7 win over Prairie View A&M, here Friday afternoon at Tankersley Field.
 
UAPB finished the contest with 15 hits, whereas PVAMU finished with nine.
 
Dontrell Brown finished the contest with three hits in five at-bats, scoring three runs and driving in one run to lead the Golden Lions.
 
Josh Wells led the Panthers from the plate with two hits in five at-bats. 
 
Blake Estep (3-3) received the win for UAPB.  He gave up seven hits, four earned runs and striking out four in five and one-third innings of work.  Both Ciji Ramos and Matt Shindlebower made appearances on the mound for the Golden Lions.  Ramos gave up one hits, two earned runs and struck out one in one and two-third innings of work.  Shindlebower in his outing pitched two innings, allowing one hit and striking out one in the seven batters he faced.
 
Edgar Sanchez (2-4) received the loss for PVAMU.  He pitched seven innings yielding 14 hits, six earned runs and striking out six in the 36 batters he faced.
 
The Golden Lions took a 6-0 lead into the fifth inning with UAPB plating one run in first, one in the second, two in the third and two in the fifth inning.
 
PVAMU cut UAPB's lead to 6-4 with the Panthers plating two run in their half of the fourth inning and two in the fifth inning. 
 
UAPB increased their lead to 11-4 with the Golden Lions plating three runs in the top of the seven and two in the top of the eighth inning.
 
PVAMU plated three more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for the 11-7 finale.
