Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (April 17) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team completed their sweep of Texas Southern with a 8-6 won over the Tigers, here Sunday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
 
UAPB finished the contest with 13 hits, while TSU finished with nine.
 
The Golden Lions had four players to finish with two hits each in 
Jaqueese Moore, 
Jordan Knox, 
Jacob Columbo and 
Dontrell Brown.
 
Kamren Dukes finished with two hits to lead TSU.
 
Anthony Bowmaker (4-1) received the win for UAPB.  He pitched five inning in relief, allowing three hits, one earned run and striking out nine in the 22 batters he faced.  
C.J. Lewington, the Golden Lion starter pitched three and one third innings, allowing six hits, five earned run and striking out three in the 22 batters faced.  
Ciji Ramos got his second save of the season as he struck out one in two-third inning pitched.
 
Robert Pearson (1-4) received the loss for TSU. He pitched two inning, allowing five hits, three earned runs and striking out one in the 12 batters he faced.  Ryan Rios the Tigers starter pitched six innings, allowing eight hits, two earned runs and striking out three in the 29 batters he faced.
 
A Columbo double to left field scoring Williams gave the Golden Lions a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. 
 
TSU tied the contest at 1-1 on a Gerreck Jimenez sacrifice fly to centerfield scoring Dukes.
 
The Tigers scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to take 5-1 lead.
 
In the bottom of the fifth inning, UAPB plated two runs with 
Roberto Colon scoring on a Jaqueese More double.  Then Moore would score on a 
Jerimiah Figueroa bases load walk, cutting the Tigers' lead to 5-3.
 
UAPB tied the contest at 5-5 with the Golden Lions scoring one run in the bottom of the sixth and the seventh inning.   Columbo scored in the fifth inning on Brown single and Knox scored in the bottom of the seventh inning on a Williams' sacrifice fly to centerfield.
 
The Golden Lions took an 8-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning with Brown scoring on a 
Tommy Haas sacrifice fly to centerfield, followed by a 
Jaylen Jackson single scoring both Colon and Moore.
 
TSU plated one more run in their half of the ninth for the 8-6 win.
