Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (April 15) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel to a 7-4 win over Texas Southern, here Friday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little Complex.
UAPB finished the contest with six hits, while TSU tallied six.
The Golden Lions had six players to finish with one hit apiece to lead UAPB.
Gerreck Jimenez led the Tigers from the plate with three hits in five at-bats and driving in two runs.
Blake Estep (2-3) received the win for UAPB. He gave up nine hits, four earned runs and struck out 10 in eight and one-third innings of work.
Skyler Henson got his third save of the year as he struck out two batters in two-third innings of work.
Larry Romero (6-2) received the loss for TSU. Romero pitched eight innings, allowing six hits and striking out five in the 40 batters he faced.
TSU grabbed an early 4-0 lead with the Tigers plating two runs in the top of the first and two runs in their half of the fourth.
