Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (April 10) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team completed their three-game sweep of Alabama A&M with, 5-2 win over the Bulldogs, here Sunday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
UAPB finished the contest with eight hits, whereas AAMU tallied 11.
The Golden Lions was led by both
Jaqueese Moore and
Dontrell Brown, who finished the contest with two hits apiece.
J.T. O'Reel led the Bulldogs from the plate with three hits in five at-bats.
Anthony Bowmaker (3-1) picked up the win for the Golden Lions. He pitched two and two-thirds innings in relief, allowing three hits, and striking out two in the 11 batters he faced.
Skyler Henson (2) got the save as two-third innings, striking out two in the two batters he faced.
Brandon Marsonek (2-7) received the loss for the Bulldogs. He gave up six hits, two earned runs and striking out three in the 31 batters, he faced.
UAPB jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning with
Jordan Knox scoring on a Jeremiah Figueroa to left field.
AAMU went ahead 2-1 with the Bulldogs plating one run in their half of the fifth inning and another in the top of the sixth inning.
UAPB tied the contest at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning with Brown scoring on a Moore single.
The Golden Lions broke the 2-2 tie in the top of the bottom the eighth inning.
Tommy Haas scored the first run of the inning on an AAMU throwing error. Then a Brown triple to right center scored both
Julian Jones and
Austin Softley, for the 5-2 win.
