Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (March 18) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team picked up their second Southwestern Athletic Conference win of the season as the Golden Lions defeated Prairie View A&M, 11-1 in seven innings, here Friday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
 
UAPB finished the contest with 10 hits, while Prairie View A&M tallied five.
 
Julian Jones had the hot bat for the Golden Lions as he finished the contest with three hits, while the Panthers had five players to finish with one hit apiece.
 
Anthony Bowmaker (1-1) picked up the win for the Golden Lions as he pitched six and two-third innings, allowing five hits and striking out nine, while Charles Philpott (0-4) received the loss for the Panthers as he pitched three and one-third innings, allowing four hits, four earned runs and striking out one in the 23 batters he faced.
 
PVAMU scored their only run of the game on a UAPB error scoring Nick Gurka, giving PVAMU a 1-0 lead after one-half inning of play.
 
The Golden Lions would have back-to-back big innings as UAPB plated five runs in the third inning and four runs in their half of the fourth to take a 9-1 lead over PVAMU.
 
UAPB added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to invoke the 10-run rule, giving the Golden Lions, the 11-1 win.
