In the second half, UAPB trailed by many as 18 points with the Lady Bulldogs taking a 48-30 lead on a Taliah Moore layup with 8:34 remaining in the third quarter. Â

UAPB cut into AAMU's lead with a pair of runs as they used a 10-2 run to cut the Lady Bulldogs' lead to 50-40 on an
Ajia Richardson jumper with 5:08 remaining.  Then the Lady Lions used a 13-8 run to close out the third quarter to cut the Lady Lions' lead to 58-53, heading into the fourth quarter of play.

In the fourth quarter, AAMU used a 12-7 run to take a 70-60 lead, capped off by an Alexia DeBose jumper with 6:43 left to play.

UAPB put together a 12-6 run to cut AAMU's lead to 76-72 on
Diamond Richardson free throw with 1:51 remaining in the contest.

But that would be the closes that the Lady Lions would get as the Lady Bulldogs held on for the 82-74 win.

UAPB finished the contest shooting 38.5 percent (25-of-65), while AAMU shot 51.7 percent (30-of-58).

In the first quarter, AAMU jumped out to a 5-0 lead, capped off by a Jaylan Snowden layup at the 9:15 mark of play.

UAPB tied the contest at 5-5 with a made basket by a three point play by head and two free throws made by
Destiny Brewton.

AAMU then took a 13-9 lead on a pair of free throws by Brooke Dixon with 2:43 left to play, capping an 8-4 run by the Lady Bulldogs.Â

UAPB took a 18-17 lead on a pair of
Kye Richardson free throws with 50 seconds remaining, capping a 9-4 run by the Lady Lions.

AAMU would score the final four points of the quarter to take a 21-18 lead into the second quarter of play.

The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Lions, 22-10 in the second quarter of play to take a 43-28 lead into the break.Â

UAPB finished the first half shooting 38.5 percent (25-of-65), while AAMU shot 51.7 percent (30-of-58).

AAMU (5-21) had three Lady Bulldogs to score in double-figures with Janie Myles scoring a game high 24 points and pulling down nine rebounds. Dixon added 16 and DeBose with 12.Â

UAPB (9-21) had two Lady Lions to score in double figures with Head scoring a team high 21 points and pulling down nine rebounds, while Brewton finished with 18.
