BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Arkansas-Pine-Bluff's Katy Hufnagel have been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference as volleyball player of the week for her outstanding performance in competition from Sept. 23-29.

In 13 sets of action, Hufnagel dished out 100 assists for the Golden Lions for a 7.14 assist-per-set average last week. She also tallied six of the team's 26 service aces. Hufnagel had 23 assists in a three-set win over Southern, 46 assists in a five-set loss to Texas Southern and 31 assists in a five-set win over Fisk.
