Box Score STARKVILLE, Miss. (Aug. 28) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (9-25, 14-25, 11-25) decision to  Mississippi State in their first match of the Bulldogs Invitational, here Friday afternoon at Newell-Grissom Arena.

UAPB (0-1) was led by Alexis Smith with five kills, followed by Whitney Harris with four and Lauren Corby with two.  The Lady Lions was led in assists and digs by Katy Hufnogel with 14 assists and Courtney Brand with seven digs.

MSU (1-0) was paced by Evie Grace Singleton with a team high 11 kills.  Blossom Sato led the team in assists with 25, while Payton Harris finished with a team high seven digs to lead the Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs will take on Southern Utah in their afternoon session in a 4 p.m. start at the Newell-Grissom Arena.
