Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Feb. 28) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Women's Basketball team second half rally was not enough as Grambling State held on to defeat the Lady Lions, 59-45 here Saturday evening at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
In the first half, Grambling claimed an early 11-4 lead with 12:31 left on a pair of Yosha Watson free throws.

Shami Goodman three pointer pulled the Lady Lions within 14-12 with 8:46 left, capping a 10-3 run by the Lady Lions.
The Lady Tigers ended the first half with a 14-4 run to take a 28-16 lead over the Lady Lions into the halftime. UAPB finished the first half shooting 22.6 percent (7-of-31), while GSU shot 31.0 percent (9-of-29).
The Lady Lions opened the second half with a 12-7 run to cut GSU's lead to 35-28 on a pair of
Mollie Campbell free throws with 12:43 left in regulation.
UAPB pulled within five points with a Goodman three pointer with 8:11 left in the contest, cutting the GSU's to 39-34.
The Lady Tigers closed out the contest with a 20-11 run for the 59-45 finale.
UAPB finished the contest shooting 27.0 percent (17-of-63), while GSU shot 34.5 percent (20-of-58).
The Lady Lions finished the contest with 47 rebounds to the GSU's 45. UAPB recorded 23 bench points, 12 points in the paint, 12 points off of turnovers and eight second chance points. GSU finished the contest with 26 bench points, 24 points in the paint, 14 points off turnovers, 16 second chance points and two fast break points.
UAPB (6-21, 4-12 SWAC) was led by both
Carlisha Walker and Goodman as they both finished with seven points apiece for the Lady Lions.
Destiny Brewton led the Lady Lions on the boards with six.
GSU (9-17, 6-9 SWAC) had three Lady Tigers to score in double-figures with Watson scoring a game high 16 points, followed by Bre'Nae Andrews with 12 and Neal with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
UAPB will closed out their 2014-2015 home scheduled on Monday, March 2 as they will host Jackson State in a 5:30 p.m. matchup.
