The Lady Lions pulled in 11-6 with a
Charisse Carr jumper with the 13:18 left in the first.

SU extended their lead to 17-8 on a Briana Green layup with 10:55 to go in the half.

UAPB closed the gap with the Jaguars as they cut SU's lead to 28-20 on
Jazmyne Victorian layup with 1:44 to go in the first, capping an 8-5 run by the Lady Lions.

Kendra Coleman knocked down three free throws to give the Jaguars a 34-22 lead over the Lady Lions at the break.

The Lady Lions finished the first half shooting a 37.5 percent (9-of-24), while SU shot 40.6 percent (13-of-32).

SU opened the second half with a 10-0 run to a 44-22 lead on a Washington field goal with 16:52 left in regulation.

The Lady Lions finished the contest shooting 35.8 percent (19-of-53), while SU shot 41.7 percent (30-of-72).

UAPB (5-18, 3-9 SWAC) was paced by Victorian with a team high 14 points and eight rebounds, followed by
Carlisha Walker with seven.Â
Destiny Ham dished out four assists, while Walker led the team in steals with four.

SU (12-10, 10-2 SWAC) had four Jaguars to score in double-figures with Washington scoring a team high 17 points, followed by a Briana Green with 16. Jefferson pumped in 12 points, while Kendra Coleman added 11.  Green pulled down a team high six rebounds to lead SU on the boards.

UAPB will return to action on Monday, February 16 as they will host Alcorn State in a 5:30 p.m. contest at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
