Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Nov. 2)  - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball Team dropped a 3-0 (17-25, 23-25, 21-25) decision to Prairie View A&M, here Monday night at the H.O. Clemmons arena.
 
 
UAPB (5-25, 1-5 SWAC) was paced by Whitney Harris with eight kills, followed by Ayanna Parker with seven and Kayla Dowdell with six.  Katy Hufnagel dished out 25 assists, while Courtney Brand led the team in digs with 12.   The Lady Lions finished the match with 29 kills in 101 attempts with four errors.  UAPB tallied 10 kills in both set one and set two and finished the third set with nine.
 
 
PVAMU (8-21, 4-2 SWAC) was led by both Calli Jordan Hensch and MoKeysha Shanklin with nine kills each, followed by Randi Hunter with eight.  Ana Kiso finished the contest with a team high 24 assists, while Paige Chuidian led the team in digs with 14.  The Lady Panthers finished the match with 39 kills in 100 attempts with 19 errors.  PVAMU recorded 11 kills in the first set and with 14 kills in both the second and third set.
 
 
In the first set, UAPB jumped out to a 7-4 lead.  PVAMU rallied with a 6-3 run to tie the set at 10-10 on a Hensch kill.
 
 
The Lady Panthers extended their lead to a 17-14 with an UAPB attack error.   PVAMU outscored UAPB 8-4 for the 25-18 win to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
 
 
PVAMU opened the second set with a 10-5 led.    UAPB battled themselves back in the set with a 15-10 run to cut the Lady Panthers' lead to 22-20, capped off by a Lauren Corby kill.  PVAMU took advantage of two UAPB attack errors and Tisharra Thompson kill for a 25-23 win to take a 2-0 lead in the set.
 
 
 
The third set would begin just like the second set with a PVAMU taking a 10-6 lead in the set.  UAPB tied the set at 13-13 with a 7-3 run, capped off by a PVAMU attack error.
 
 
Neither team could pull away from each other as the set saw eight ties from the 12^th point to the 19^th point.  PVAMU built a two-point cushion to take a 21-19 lead on a back-to-back kills by Randi Hunter.
 
 
The Lady Lions could not overcome the two-point deficient as the PVAMU won the set 25-21 to win the match 3-0.
