PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Sept. 25) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball team will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, October 4 beginning 8 a.m. in down town Little Rock.
This will be the second consecutive year that the Golden Lions will be participating in the event.
For those who are interested in participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and partnering with the UAPB Baseball team, you may register at komenarkansas.org.
Just click on the registration link and then click on "Join an Existing Team" and then search for UAPB Baseball, the registration fee is $26.

According to Wipedia: The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is the world's largest fundraising event for breast cancer. It consists of a series of 5K runs and fitness walks to raise money breast cancer, to raise awareness of the disease, to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer and memorialize those who have not. The first race was ran in Dallas, Texas in 1983 with 800 participants.
