Box Score HATTIESBURG, Miss. (Aug. 30)  - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball Team dropped their third match of the USM Invitational as Alabama A&M defeated the Lady Lions, 3-2 (15-25, 25-13, 23-25, 28-26, 8-15) here Saturday evening at Reed Green Gymnasium.

UAPB (0-3) was led by Ashlie Jones as she recorded a team 13 kills, followed by Whitney Harris with nine and Kayla Dowdell with seven.  .  Jordan Foyer led the Lady Lions in assists with 23, while Courtney Brand finished with a team high 20 digs

AAMU (1-2) had a pair of Lady Bulldogs to finish in double-digit kills with Kyanna Sales finishing with a team high 18 kills, while Ashundria McNeal finished with 11.  Megan Butler finished with a match high 48 assists; while three Lady Bulldogs finished in double-digit kills with Sales garnering a match high 21 digs.

AAMU won the first set 25-15 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

UAPB tied the match at 1-1 as they defeated the AAMU 25-13 in the second set.  The Lady Lions jumped out to a 10-5 lead, capped off by a Lady Bulldog attack error.   UAPB extended their lead to 20-9 on a Lady Bulldogs ball handling error.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead in the match as won the third set 25-23.

UAPB tied the match at 2-2 as they won the fourth set 28-26 Jones tied the set at 25-25 with a kill.  Then AAMU a kill by Alexandria Green would tie the set 26-26.
A kill by Jones and an attack error by AAMU would give the Lady Lions the 28-26 win in the set.

In the fifth and final set, AAMU jumped out to a 10-3 lead on UAPB attack error as the Lady Bulldogs went to win the set, 15-8 for the 3-2 win.
Jordan Foyer was named to the USM Invitational All-Tournament Team.
