PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Aug. 20) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Defense even the count to 1-1 in their second scrimmage of the preseason with the Golden Lions defense only yielding two TDs and not allowing a red zone score, here Wednesday afternoon at Golden Lion Stadium practice field.

At one point the UAPB defense the Golden Lions ground attack to negative yards rush.  The UAPB offense finished the scrimmage with a total of 12 rushing yards.

Antonio Jenkins led the Golden Lion defense as he finished the scrimmage with seven tackles, three sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss.  The UAPB defense garnered 10 sacks on the day in the scrimmage.

Demarcus Berry was the second leading tackler for the Golden Lion defense as he recorded five total takedowns, four sacks and one quarterback hurry in the scrimmage.

On offense UAPB quarterback Ben Anderson passed for 139 yards as he completed 14 passes in 19 attempts with one TD and one Int.
Wesley Hawthorne and Isiah Ferguson was top targets for the UAPB quarterback with Hawthorne tallying seven catches for 65 yards, whereas Ferguson finished the contest with 54 yards receiving on five receptions and a TD.  Ross Moore scored the Golden Lions only other offensive TD from 16 yards out from Marcus Terrell.

Brian Handley led the UAPB ground attack as tallied 38 yards on five carries.
