ALCORN STATE, Miss. (April 23) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Baseball Team picked up another nonconference win with a 7-3 win over Southwestern Athletic Conference Eastern Division member Alcorn State, here Wednesday after at McGowan Stadium.
UAPB (18-23) recorded 13 hits in the contest with both
Andre Davis and
Jose Hernandez finishing with three hits apiece to lead the Golden Lions.
ALCN (6-36) tallied five hits in the contest with Christian Hickman going three-for-four from the plate to lead the Braves.
Skyler Henson picked up the win for the Golden Lions as he pitched three innings, allowing two hits, two earned runs and striking out three, while Jesus Vasquez received the loss for the Braves as he pitched two innings, allowing one hits, two earned runs and striking out one.
A Hernandez single gave UAPB a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning scoring

ALCN tied the contest at 1-1 in the bottom of the second inning Jared Listach scored on a Joshua Powell sacrifice fly to center field.
UAPB broke the 1-1 tie in the top of the third inning as Wieland scored on a Brave infielder's throwing error and with Davis scoring on an
Isias Alcantar ground to the short stop, giving the Golden Lions a 3-1 lead.
The Braves made the score 3-2as Charles scored on an UAPB infielder's throwing error in the bottom of the third inning.
UAPB added to their lead as they scored one run in the top of the fourth inning and two runs in the top of the sixth inning, giving the Golden Lions a 6-2 lead.
Both teams would plate one more run with the Braves scoring a run in the bottom of the sixth and the Golden Lions scoring one runs in the top of the ninth inning for the 7-3 finale.
