Box Score PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Oct. 31) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball team won their second straight as the Lady Lions defeated Prairie View A&M, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-23) here Friday night at the William Nick Arena.

UAPB (8-16, 4-1) was led by Ashlie Jones with 12 kills, followed by Ayana Parker with nine, and Whitney Harris with eight.  Jordan Foyer led the Lady Lions in assists with 34, while Courtney Brand finished the contest with 15 digs.

PVAMU (7-16, 1-4) was led by Candyce Alexander with seven kills, followed by Jasmine Lewis with six and Lenicia Tyson with five.  Paige Chuidian dished out a team high 14 assists, while Alexander led the team in digs with nine.

The Lady Lions jumped out to a 10-6 in the first set, capped off by a Jones kill.  UAPB extended their lead to 20-9, capped off by a Lauren Corby kill as the Lady Lions went on to win the set 25-14 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

In the second set, UAPB would never trailed as they jumped to a 13-9 lead on a Lady Panther service error.
PVAMU cut UAPB's lead to 20-18 on a Haley Dibbern kill.  But that would be the closes that the Lady Panthers would get as UAPB went on to win the set 25-20 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the third set, capped off by a UAPB attack error.

UAPB used a 15-9 run to take a 19-18 lead, capped off by a Jones kill.   The Lady Panthers tied the set on five more occasions as they tied set for the fifth time at 23-23.

UAPB recorded back-to-back kills by Harris and Billups to win the set 25-23 and to win the match 3-0.
