CONWAY -- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff volleyball team lost two matches at the UCA-Sears Sugar Bear Invitational on Friday. Louisiana-Monroe beat UAPB in the first match of the day 25-15, 25-9, 25-18. Then, despite a valiant effort, the Lady Lions (0-9) fell to Texas-Pan American 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.

Audrey Sherles led the way for UAPB against ULM, finishing the match with six kills and four digs. Jordan Foyer added 12 assists and seven digs for the Lady Lions.

Foyer had 24 more assists and 11 digs against UTPA. Sherles and Ayanna Parker were the top scorers with six kills each. Meanwhile, Courtney Brand led the defense with 19 digs.

The Lady Lions will finish the weekend on Saturday morning with a non-conference match against Jackson State.
