MEMPHIS -- The UAPB women's cross country team finished 18th at the Rhodes College Invitational over the weekend. In a mixed field that included NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III schools, twenty-five teams competed in the 6K meet at Shelby Farms.
Teneisha Davis was the first Lady Lion to cross the finish line at 42nd with a time of 24:32. Tineika Toussaint was the next UAPB runner to finish, coming in 109th at 26:55. Meanwhile, Sharoya Simmons and Sabratina Rojas were 134th and 135th at 29:26 and 29:30 respectively and Stephanie Jerson was 150th with a time of 31:23.
The Lady Lions will head to Clinton, Miss. this weekend to compete in the Watson Ford Invitational.
