TALLAHASSEE, FL - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Cross Country team wrapped up their conference season in the SWAC Championship at the campus of Florida A&M.

UAPB Men's XC finished third overall out of the 10 SWAC teams in the 8K run, with three Golden Lions finishing in the Top 15. Senior Baron Freeman led the way for UAPB with a third place finish at a time of 25:49.6. Junior Tarik Xavier and sophomore Terrance Johnson finished ninth and 12th, respectively with completion times of 26:52.2 and 27:00.4 for UAPB.

UAPB Women's XC placed tenth in the 5K run. Freshman Kris-Ann Plummer led the way for the Lady Lions finishing eighth out of over 70 participants with a time of 20:23.1. Freshman Kathrin Maurer finished 19th for UAPB with a time of 21:28.6.
