RUSTON, La. -- The UAPB volleyball team fell in three sets to Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, 25-21, 25-12, 25-8. The Lady Lions slipped to 0-5 with the loss, while La. Tech evened their record at 2-2.

Offensive numbers were sparse for UAPB as they had only 12 kills in the match. Meanwhile, there were 16 attack errors in 67 attempts, resulting in a hitting percentage of -.060.

Ashlie Jones led UAPB with five kills. Courtney Brand added nine digs and Jordan Foyer had seven assists.

The Lady Lions head to Grambling on Wednesday for their first Southwestern Athletic Conference match and second leg of a busy week. After Grambling, UAPB heads to Conway, Ark. for the UCA-Sears Sugar Bear Classic at the University of Central Arkansas.
