MONTICELLO, Ark. -- The UAPB volleyball team saw their two-game winning streak snapped by a 3-0 loss to Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday night. The Lady Lions gave the Cotton Blossoms a fierce battle, but UAM swept the match 26-24, 25-20, 25-20.

Ayanna Parker led the Lady Lions (2-10) with 11 kills. Ashlie Jones added seven kills, while Whitney Harris and Audrey Harris added five apiece. Jordan Foyer finished the match with 24 assists and 10 digs.

The Lady Lions with be be in action this weekend at the ISTAP Collegiate Cup in Montgomery at Alabama State University. UAPB will play Jacksonville State (3 p.m,) and Alabama State (7 p.m.) on Friday. Then on Saturday, the Lady Lions take on Savannah State (1 p.m.) and New Orleans (5 p.m.).
