Pine Bluff, Ark- Despite the threat of rain and unseasonal winter like temperatures, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions split a mid-week double header with Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs.

It took the first game for the Golden Lions to get started, as JCC manage to shutout UAPB 5-0. The Golden Lions struggle from the plate in the first game, reaching base through two Bulldog errors. JCC pitcher Joshua Peschell was credited with a complete game, no-hit shutout.

The second game was a total opposite of the first game. The Golden Lions managed to get on the board first; after Cody De Mera reached base on single, Mike Wieland sacrifice flied out to the center fielder to score De Mera.

UAPB busted the game open with two big innings, one being in their half of the third scoring three runs and then again in their half of the fifth posting four more runs. Golden Lions hurler Stanten Jones went six innings only giving up one hit with no runs for the victory. De Mera was the man at the plate for UAPB going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI's and a walk. JCC crossed the plate in the seventh inning for their only run of the game, as UAPB registered their eighth win of season, 8-1.
