Houston, Tex- On Sunday, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff closed out its weekend series against Texas Southern University; with TSU coming away with the victory 6-3.

The Golden Lions outhit the Tigers 15-11, but left 15 runners stranded on base throughout the ballgame. UAPB's Kirby Campbell went 3-for-3 while scoring a run and drawing two walks. The Golden Lions would score in the first three innings, but couldn't convert those 15 hits into enough runs before the end of nine innings.

UAPB's Stanten Jones got the start today, facing 19 batters and recording three strikeouts in four innings of work.

Up next for UAPB, is midweek match-up against Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS on Wednesday, March 27^th.  The Golden Lions return home Saturday, March 30^th, as they host the Panthers of Prairie View A&M University for a SWAC western division weekend series.
