Women's Basketball: Nebraska-Omaha Pulls Away From Lady Lions in Second Half

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Lady Lions played close in the first half, but Nebraska-Omaha pulled away in the second half for a 76-48 win at the Cenntury Link Center. With the loss the Lady Lions fell to 1-5 overall while the Mavs moved to 3-2.

Jazmyne Victorian and Charisse Carr each had eight points to lead UAPB. Victorian had a team-high six rebounds, including five offensive boards.

For UNO, Ericka House led the way with 20 points, while Felicia Anderson added 15. Sami Pawlak contributed a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Lady Lions trailed 32-24 after a competitive first half. But, the host Lady Mavericks took control in the second half and slowly pulled away. UNO led by as much as 30 in the waning moments (76-46). UNO outscored UAPB 44-24 in the second half.

The Lady Lions will have some time off during the Thanksgiving holidays before traveling to Lubbock, Texas to visit Texas Tech on Dec. 4.
