Box Score Pine Bluff, AR- Tonight the UAPB Lady Lions volleyball team, under first year head coach
Kyetta May, opened their 2012 season by playing host to the UTEP Lady Miners. Working with a combined squad and shortened practice schedule, Coach May has manage to instill her competitive nature in these young ladies.
Although UTEP managed to hold off the Lady Lions for a 3-0 victory, the Lady Miners had their work cut out for them as the Lady Lions fought a valiant fight throughout. The Lady Miners took the match 25-15, 25-18, 25-14.
Tonight's contest was a measuring tool as the Lady Lions prepare for SWAC competition. With the will to win and the mind set on getting better every day, Coach
Kyetta May will have her Lady Lions right where she wants them.
Up Next for the Golden Lions is a road contest against the Lady Braves of Alcorn State. That match is set for Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
