Although the Golden Lions have had your typical camp, working through injuries and conditioning, the attitude of progressively getting better one day at a time has not only been carried out by the upper classmen but instilled into the new additions to the squad as well.
Offensively, the Golden Lions look to be more effective on the ground behind a massive offensive line anchored by first team All-SWAC offensive tackle,
Terron Armstead; while, 2011 SWAC freshman of the year, Ben Anderson looks to control the friendly skies like a commercial pilot.
On the other side of the ball, the defense has worked on becoming more of a dominant force this year in the SWAC. With the foundation of the defensive unit, the defensive line, solid; first team All-SWAC linebackers
Bill Ross and
Jer-ryan Harris look to cement themselves as two of the conference's top tacklers. The last line of defense for the Golden Lions, the secondary, led by second team All-SWAC safety
Jarvis Webb and CFPA watch list candidate
Ryan Shaw will be responsible for applying pressure to opposing receiver corps.
