LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff junior linebacker Bill Ross was named the 2011 Touchdown Club UAPB Football Player of the Year at a luncheon on Friday, January 27^th.
 
The Alabama native had a breakout season as a starter for the Golden Lions defense this past season leading Arkansas-Pine Bluff in tackles.
 
“Bill had an outstanding year and he made an immediate impact for out team on the defensive side of the ball,” said UAPB head coach Monte Coleman. “He has continued to work hard over the course of this offseason and we expect even bigger things from him in 2012.”
 
Ross was a 2011 Southwestern Athletic Conference 2^nd team selection at linebacker and was also a nominee for Newcomer of the Year Accolades.
