SWAC All-Academic Team for 2011 Announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced the 2011 Commissioner's All-Academic Team, recognizing 768 student-athletes from the conference's 10 member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2010-11 academic school year. The team honors student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
 
Each sport also crowned a team all-academic champion from the member institutions for combined GPA within the respective sport.

Basketball - Grambling State, 2.62
Cross Country - Mississippi Valley State, 3.44 (also won SWAC Championship)
Indoor Track and Field - Mississippi Valley State, 3.09
Outdoor Track and Field - Mississippi Valley State, 3.09
Golf - Alabama State, 3.19
Tennis - Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 3.71
