PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Tickets are now available through the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Department of Athletics for the Golden Lions' 2011 Season Opener in Little Rock, Ark. at War Memorial Stadium Saturday, Sept. 3 when Arkansas-Pine Bluff faces Langston.

The Delta Classic was founded by Dr. Fitzgerald Hill, who is the 13th President of Arkansas Baptist College based in Little Rock, Ark.  The 2011 Delta Classic will be the sixth in the series. The purpose of the Delta Classic is to utilize a week's worth of activities to promote and raise literacy awareness for the Delta region of Arkansas.

An official press conference for the Delta Classic is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30 in Little Rock, with economic development seminars for the region taking place the following day.  On Friday, Sept. 2, a Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame Reception Ceremony will take place at the Holiday Inn Presidential in Little Rock, followed by the Delta Classic Afterparty.

A parade and tailgate party are set to take place the morning of the game, with kickoff between the Golden Lions and Langston to take place at 5:00 p.m. inside War Memorial Stadium.
