Junior pitcher Jordan Sechler joins the UAPB Golden Lions from Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California. A native of Santa Maria, Sechler was named 2nd Team All-Conference after guiding the Bulldogs to a 20-win season and the 2011 CCCAA Southern California Regional.
 
What made you decide to come to UAPB?
Baseball...nuff said.
 
What is your favorite aspect of going to a college in the South?
Definitely the weather and the opportunity to be coached by Coach James and Coach Mac.
 
What types of TV shows do you watch?
I only watch movies...I don't have cable in my apartment.

Early morning workouts with Coach Tatum
 
If you could switch lives for a day with a celebrity, who would it be and why?
Arnold Schwarzenegger because it was his job to throw weight around, and he's "The Terminator".
 
Who smiles more? Bobby Knight, Jim Leyland, Coach MacMillan, Mike Singletary, or you?
It's a tie. We never smile.
 
What kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out?
Anything that makes me angry.

FIFA

What are some of the benefits of being left-handed?
Natural run on the ball; advantage over righties; and I am more intelligent (proven fact).
 
Who is your favorite MLB pitcher? Why?
Mike Fetters because he never smiled, and he gave the "death stare".
 
What are your aspirations/goals during your time here at UAPB?
My ultimate goal is to win two SWAC Championships, be an All-SWAC pitcher, and hopefully, get drafted.
