GRAMBLING, La.- After dropping a hard fought 1-0 decision to the Grambling State Lady Tigers the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions have secured a number two seeding in the 2009 Southwestern Athletic Conference Soccer Tournament set to be held later this week at Mississippi Valley State.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff concluded conference play with a 3-1 mark and a 9-6-4 overall record. The Lady Lions will face Alabama A&M on Thursday, Nov. 5th in the tourney's quarterfinal round at 10:30 am.
If UAPB emerges victorious the Lady Lions will move on to face the winner of Jackson State versus Southern. UAPB defeated Southern 4-0 during the regular season and tied Jackson 1-1 early in October.
