Lia Jenkins is a dedicated member of the Golden Lions athletics staff, joining the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in July 2016 as an Extra Help Assistant. In 2022, she was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics and Administrative Specialist III, where she provides high-level administrative and operational support to Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Chris Robinson and the senior leadership team.
A native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jenkins earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Spring 2021.
In her current role, Jenkins is responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including oversight and coordination of athletics budgets for football, golf, soccer, and volleyball. She plays a key role in financial management, procurement processes, contract administration, travel coordination, and event logistics while ensuring compliance with institutional, NCAA, conference, and state regulations.
Jenkins also serves as a liaison among coaches, student-athletes, campus departments, external partners, and community stakeholders. She is recognized for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to professionalism and customer service, contributing to the efficient operation of the athletics department.
Through her leadership and dedication, Jenkins supports the mission of UAPB Athletics by promoting academic and athletic excellence and fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
