Keith Scott is the Assistant Coach, Defensive Backs Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he oversees all special teams units and leads the development of the Golden Lions’ secondary. A Pine Bluff native and former UAPB student-athlete, Scott brings extensive experience in defensive strategy, player development, and special teams coordination.

Prior to returning to UAPB, Scott served as special teams coordinator and safeties coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville, where he directed all special teams operations and contributed to defensive game planning while recruiting across multiple southern states. He previously spent four seasons at the University of Central Arkansas (2021–24) in multiple leadership roles, including assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, passing game coordinator, and defensive backs coach, helping the program achieve top conference and national rankings in defense and special teams.

Scott’s coaching career also includes stops at Austin Peay State University, Eastern Illinois, and the University of Arkansas-Monticello, where he served as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. His units have consistently ranked among conference leaders in pass defense, turnovers, and overall defensive performance, producing numerous all-conference and All-American players.

He began his coaching career at Prairie View A&M and Mississippi Valley State, where he coached defensive backs and later served as defensive coordinator. A former defensive back for the Golden Lions, Scott was a three-year letterwinner and team captain. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UAPB and a master’s degree in education administration from Prairie View A&M.
