Chris Witherspoon serves as a Graduate Assistant in Game Day Operations and Athletic Facilities, supporting the planning and execution of athletic events, facility operations, and special events. In this role, he assists with game day setup for home competitions, event operations, facility maintenance, and pre- and post-season preparation for athletic venues.
His responsibilities and sport assignments are directed by the Directors of Game Day Operations and Athletic Facilities. His experience as both an athlete and operations professional provides him with a unique perspective on event execution, facility preparation, and student-athlete support. He serves as the primary point of contact for game day operations support for soccer and volleyball.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Witherspoon brings a strong background as a collegiate student-athlete. He earned Second Team NAIA honors during his freshman season at Bethel University in 2018 and was a member of a Mid-South Conference Championship team. In 2024, he was named an All-American Runner-Up while competing at Arkansas Baptist College.
