Roger Mallison enters his fourth season as the assistant coach/ recruiting coordinator for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball program after joining the staff in August of 2017. His duties include assisting with the development of the team and coordinating the Golden Lions recruiting efforts.
Mallison brings over 20 years of coaching experience on NCAA Division I, junior college, and elite travel showcase baseball. Mallison has developed over 25 student-athletes who have been drafted in the MLB or signed professional contracts. He also sent over a half of dozen players to play NCAA and NAIA baseball, including NCAA Division I programs Arkansas, Arkansas St. Baylor, Cal State Fullerton, Seton Hall, Texas A&M, Miami, Texas Tech, and Western Kentucky.
Before arriving at UAPB, Mallison's career also includes stints as the head baseball coach at Arkansas Baptist College, assistant coach at Central Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas Little Rock. He also served as Executive Director of the Junior Deputy Baseball League in Little Rock and a member of the NCJAA Region 2.
Mallison earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Southern Arkansas and married to Rhonda Mallison with two children Baily and Ryan Mallison.
